Unit Circle

Degrees Explained...

Picture
Degrees are a unit of measuring angles in the unit circle. There are 360 degrees in one circle. Quad I goes from o to 90 degrees, quad II goes from 90 to 180 degrees, quad III goes from 180 to 270 degrees and quad IV goes from 270 to 360 degrees. To convert radians to degrees multiply the radian measure by 180/ ∏.

Problem 1 (easy): Convert  ∏/4 radians to degrees

Problem 2 (medium): Convert 11∏/6 radians to degrees

Problem 3 (hard): Convert 22∏/13 radians to degrees

Problem 4 (applied): Given a two dimentional picture of the earth, convert the 32nd line of lattitude, which has a measure of 32 degrees, into radians.
